From 2014-2016, I had the pleasure of leading Painting from Intuition workshops, where participants explored their creativity in a welcoming and supportive environment. I am currently planning a new series of workshops and look forward to offering them again soon. Below is a description of the experience.

Painting from Intuition is about rediscovering the joy of creating.

In our busy lives, we often become focused on the finished product. These workshops invite you to slow down, let go of expectations, and enjoy the simple pleasure of painting. Through colour, movement, and playful exploration, you’ll be encouraged to trust your own creative instincts rather than trying to create a “perfect” painting.

There is no right or wrong way to paint. Some participants simply enjoy the freedom of moving vibrant colours across the paper. Others reconnect with the sense of curiosity and play they experienced as children. Many discover unexpected thoughts, memories, or insights that emerge naturally during the creative process.

I create a respectful, welcoming, and supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable expressing themselves. Group discussions focus on each person’s experience rather than critiquing the artwork itself. At times, participants may also choose to journal about thoughts, feelings, or discoveries that arise during the workshop.

Whether you’re an experienced artist or have never picked up a paintbrush, these workshops offer an opportunity to relax, explore your creativity, and reconnect with yourself through painting.

“It has been quite a while since I’ve painted so your workshop was a freeing way to rediscover what happens with different movements and the different tools you provided and oh the colors! Lots to choose from and mix with. Your enthusiasm and clear introduction helped me to just follow the paint and turn off my brain. I have done work with my dreams for years. I had had an important dream the night before the workshop and was seeking to explore the message of that dream. I painted four paintings in total. It started out as a series of large waves, in which I thought of putting a boat…which I tried and it just was not right…The boat became a brilliant stag.
